Ruston RK270 Main Engine Overhaul

European Diesel Services have recently completed another scheduled overhaul of a RUSTON RK270 main engine. The requirement included supplying a full set of reconditioned Cylinder Heads and Primary Pumps under our Ruston Service Exchange programme. All additional spare parts required were also supplied for the contract.

With the vessel only being able to be out of service for a minimal amount of time we supplied a team of six Ruston Engine Specialists to carry out the work in the limited time frame specified. A considerable amount of time was saved by having the engine set of reconditioned Cylinder Heads, Water Pumps and Lub Oil Pump all done in advance and ready to go straight on to the engine during the overhaul. The Pumps and Cylinder Heads removed have been brought back to our workshop for inspection and evaluation to ascertain their suitability for further use.
